What You'll Do
The IT Associate is responsible for first contact with users needing technical support, providing customer service, creating support requests, resolving problems through research and troubleshooting. Performs routine duties associated with ticket creation and incident tracking. A successful candidate will have strong written and verbal skills, work well with a team and be willing to step in and assist with various tasks around the facility. This role will report directly to the Manager of IT.
Essential Duties:
- Provide end user support for technical issues via phone, email, or chat.
- Responsible for successful deployment and upgrades of workstations. This includes security patches, client software, software upgrades, and new software deployments.
- Create, install, and maintain back up images of all PC’s and laptops
- Troubleshoot issues through reproducing the problem, doing root cause analysis, and determining resolution.
- Perform various tasks to ensure facility operations
- Create and update documentation for IT supported services and applications.
What You Need
- Minimum of six months’ experience in a help desk or desktop support role.
- Associates degree in computer science or related field.
- Active Directory experience is a must.
- Hands on experience with Microsoft Office 365.
- Capable of researching a solution if no documentation on issue is available.
- DNS and DHCP knowledge are a plus.
- Telephony experience is a plus
