The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As an IT Purchasing Analyst, you will be responsible to Administer support to the IT organization by performing all duties related to external expenditures and internal cost allocation for IT goods and services for daily interactions with 3M vendors, purchasing and asset review activities.

Creation and Review of purchasing transactions.

Troubleshooting and follow up with 3M vendors.

Collaborates with 3M Sourcing,
-
Supports Tax and Vendor audits.

Provide assistance for questions regarding eAFEs, eRFEs.

Review and set up of activities in SAP as required.
-
Leads and implements process improvement opportunities.
-
Willingness to question norms and take action for improvement.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
-
Two (2) years of sourcing/purchasing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
-
Two (2) years of experience working with an ERP system and peripheral databases in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
-
Proficiency in MS Office
-
In depth knowledge of 3M’s business areas, structure, and organization, as well as of the external market (competitors, trends, etc.) a plus.
-
Experience working IT contracts from end-to-end (requirements gathering, reviewing, redlining, negotiating, executing).
-
Experience working with IT contracts in the areas of software license agreements, end user license agreements, professional services agreements, and Software as a Service (SaaS) agreements.
-
Experience coordinating data collection and communications with third-party vendors as part of software audits.
-
Strong communicate skills in written and spoken English.

Possess working knowledge of the constructs of the various license agreements to ensure 3M’s compliance with terms and conditions.

Five (5) years of sourcing/purchasing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Travel: May include up to 5% domestic
Relocation Assistance: Is not authorized
Location: Hybrid - remote and on site in Maplewood, MN
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
