Junior Designer - Must submit a portfolio with resume.

Looking for candidates from Rhode Island School of Design,The Savannah College of Art and Design, Parsons ,Central Saint Martins and the like.

A global luxury women’s RTW brand with European sensibilities is looking for a junior designer to be the right hand to the Founder & Creative Director. This is a highly creative job but must also understand the design limitations for technical as well as having superb hand sketching, an understanding of tailored apparel, and fine cut & sew knits. In this role, the designer will research, create mood boards, and prototypes, help with technical, and work with Italian vendors to develop new styles. Will sketch and follow designs through fittings with final samples.

5 days in-office, location Beverley Hills

REQUIREMENTS:

· 3-5 years experience as a designer in the luxury marketplace.

· Must be highly creative and understand catwalk trends for the luxury marketplace.

· Understanding of working with intricate silhouettes, fine detailing, and extraordinary luxury fabrics.

· Construction for tailored woven, cut& sew knits and full execution of a garment.

· Must possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

· Tech packs & communication experience with import factories.

· Must have experience with Excel, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop.s.

· Experience with prints is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
