Guardian Revival is a New York State 501(c)(3) Not-for-Profit organization chartered to provide opportunities, resources, and support at no cost to our active and veteran Guardians so that they can revive, protect, and preserve their mental health & wellbeing.

Kennel Assistant Job Description:

Guardian Revival is looking to hire a part-time (20 hours / week) kennel assistant for our Boots & Paws program. We are looking for qualified candidates that are passionate about animals and the populations we serve: Veterans & First Responders.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Bathing and grooming dogs to cleanliness standards

Daily feeding and exercise for multiple dogs, ranging from puppies to full-grown adult dogs.

Cleaning and maintaining kennel facilities to cleanliness standards

Maintaining training standards and conducting routine health and wellness inspections for dogs.

Job Requirements:

Must be comfortable working with and around dogs, as well as other animals present at the kennel facilities (e.g., chickens, cats, etc.).

Must be capable of providing your own reliable transportation to kennel and training facilities on a routine basis

Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs of weight

Must be able to work in hot and cold temperatures

Must be able to walk several miles a day and engage in physical tasks throughout the day

Must have a driver’s license and capable of driving a company vehicle

Punctual, reliable, and attentive

Location of Work:

Wallkill, NY and Fishkill, NY

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

• Wallkill, NY: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
