We are currently looking for a talented Lab Technician to join our Technical Service and Development (TS&D) Laboratory. If you are looking for a way to accelerate your career and be part of a great company, this may be the opportunity for you.


What You Will Do In Your Role


  • Prepare polypropylene specimen for tests according to standards, customer specifications, and best practices.
  • Set up and operate compounding machines, sheetline, melt flow indexer, and other physical testing equipment.
  • Become subject matter expert (SME) of your area.
  • Assists in cross function training with other laboratory technicians.
  • Assists in resolving problems with test equipment and process’s when necessary.
  • Reviews test results using Microsoft Excel and Word. Reviews test results with product development specialists and alerts abnormalities or inconsistencies in test results.
  • Tracks work hours performed, and records notes on testing using Lab Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Understand, support, and contribute to TS&D Quality Management, ISO17025:2017 Systems by following approved policies and procedures.

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in the petrochemical or refining industry or polymer processing industry.
  • Knowledge of the chemical manufacturing process, instrumentation, and chemistry


Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting requirements of 50 lbs
  • Walking distances of up to a mile
  • Experience in a laboratory testing environment


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Associate degree in Instrumentation or Process Technology
  • Instrument and Electrical craft experience.
  • Analytical Lab experience
