Overview:
The Lead Technician (Leve IV) oversees all field operations on a project to ensure that self-performed and subcontracted trade work is in compliance with contract documents and the project schedule. Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
The Lead Technician should be able to work independently or lead a team environment to successfully complete small, medium and large security installations.
Lead/Supervisory Installation Security System level IV (Lenel/Gallagher/Hirsch responsibilities and duties
Perform assigned tasks as required to complete service calls including: but not limited to troubleshooting, equipment replacement, system programming, installation coordination, system and network design, commissioning and closeout assistance.
Location: Washington D.C. Metro Area work sites, Main Office in Manassas

Responsibilities
The Lead Technician should be able to work independently or lead a team environment to successfully complete small, medium and large security installations.
Provide on-the-job training opportunities for technicians and helpers
Develop a plan for sequence of work. Develop project schedule. Plan and organize project work to assure all work is in place in accordance with contract documents.
Have working knowledge of owner contract, subcontracts and purchase orders.
Know the scheduled delivery dates for all critical path material and equipment.
Know submittal schedule.
Update project schedule monthly and in accordance with contract documents.
Control field costs for the company and subcontract work.
Supervise field work force to assure all work is put in place in the most cost efficient manner.
Schedule and monitor field productivity.
Have good working knowledge of equipment.
Implement safety program. Conduct regular safety inspections to assure all working conditions and work habits are in compliance with company, contract and government standards. Take remedial action when required.
Implement the company’s safety policies and procedures.
Assist in resolution of scope conflicts.
Participate in the project management functions.
Assure punch list is completed in a timely manner.

Strong communication skills between Service Manager and customers is required.
Strong written skills needed, detailed completed service tickets and surveys.
Ensures work performed complies with state, local and Federal legal requirements.
Operates on the job with the highest of ethics.
Adheres to all safety standards and requirements.
Completes or assists in typical installation hardware design and software programming using established standards as required. Provides detailed information to communicate design and operation to the customer.
Selects or assists in the selection of material and equipment to be procured for the projects assigned.
Completes the loading, device verification and commissioning of all system controllers as required. Validates complete system functionality and troubleshoots problems to ensure proper operation. Provides accurate as-built and commissioning documentation.
Effectively communicates the status of projects to management as required.
Develops project plans and coordinates the required resources to ensure timely and effective installation and completion of assigned projects.
Performs site-specific training for owner / operator on the total system in full or with assistance. Ensures owner / operator has been trained. Provides proper documentation and manuals for system operation.
Develops and maintains viable long-term relationships with contractors, clients, consultants and subcontractors. Attend job progress meetings as required.
Adheres to safety standards, local and national security and fire codes, with a high degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
Performs other duties as assigned
Location: Washington D.C. Metro Area work sites, Main Office in Manassas
Travel: May travel up to 75-80% to local work sites. Schedule is subject to change based on customer and business need.
