DESCRIPTION

We are currently looking for a Learning & Development Manager to join the People Operations team at Circle Medical Technologies. As we continue to grow, we are constantly searching for exceptional talent to be a part of our team. This position may be based out of our offices in Montreal, Quebec or San Francisco, California, or be remote in the U.S. for the right candidate.
As the L&D Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of learning and talent growth programs that position our clinical and non-clinical teams for professional and personal success. You will be an integral part of a collaborative team focused on developing the talents of employees to their full potential by focusing on departmental and business needs.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Create a “learning” culture, lead, identify and manage talent development initiatives
  • Confer with management and conduct needs assessments to determine ongoing learning and development requirements
  • Evaluate effectiveness of learning initiatives and refine accordingly
  • Manage and educate about personality assessments, and provide counsel where appropriate
  • Lead the pursuit of operational excellence by deploying learning best practices, keeping the organization moving forward with the most current and appropriate methodologies
  • Build and nurture a high performance L&D team
  • Develop and leverage relationships with external learning partners to bring efficient, best in class content and delivery
  • Help employees maximize learning opportunities and optimize training programs
  • Assess and provide recommendations / insights on learning program effectiveness and value
  • Conduct regular meetings with your team to assess project progress and individual capacities

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership/managerial role, preferably in the L&D sector
  • Demonstrated knowledge of change management and project management
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning styles, participative learning design, group dynamics, interactive learning, effective collaboration and communication skills and conflict resolution
  • Strong business acumen including problem solving, critical thinking and collaboration across multiple functions and departments
  • Ability to prioritizing work activities and anticipate shifts in priorities
  • Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking & efficacy skills; with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels within
  • Strong desire and ability to promote and enhance diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, or related software.

WHAT WILL GIVE YOU AN EDGE:

  • Experience developing and facilitating learning strategies in a clinical setting
  • Experience developing e-learning systems and content
  • Proven track record with other VC funded startup/tech companies
  • A creative whiz at content and tool development

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • College degree or equivalent work-related experience.
  • At least three years of related experience is required.
  • Experience developing e-learning systems and content.
COMPENSATION
In alignment with our values, Circle Medical has transparent salaries based on location (San Francisco, Montreal, or remote in the U.S.), output levels, and options to trade cash for stock.

This is a full-time, salaried position with an annual salary (cash and stock combined) of:
US based position: $107,250- $128,700 USD
Canada based position: $101,000-$121,200 CAD

Plus, generous vacation and full medical/dental benefits.
