School-Based Behavior Consultants are needed in the Hazleton area

Step By Step, Inc. is currently seeking a qualified Behavioral Consultant for our school- based program, the Specialized Autism Support Program (SASP). This highly regarded program is exclusive to Step By Step, Inc. and joins a team of behavioral health professionals with early intervention and autism support classrooms.

The school-based Behavior Consultant provides consultative services and works collaboratively with teachers and other classroom staff to identify behavioral goals and develop an effective treatment plan.

Step By Step, Inc. provides paid training for all staff. Behavior Consultants have access to clinical resources, as well as support and guidance from administrative program staff and clinical supervisors, who have many years of experience and expertise in the behavioral health field!

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide consultative services to identified classrooms.

• Develop assessments and treatment plans.

• Provide training and supervision to all staff implementing the plan.

• Assist school personnel and the family in understanding the child’s diagnosis and appropriate strategies that are proactive in nature and strength based.

Requirements: Professional license In PA; BSL, LSW, LCSW, LPC.

Benefits:

• Ability to work a consistent schedule, weekdays between 8-4.

• Starting salary of $30.50/hr. for full-time and $35.50/hr. for part-time. Same payrate for ALL hours worked!

• This position adheres to local school district schedules for holidays/other time off and closures due to inclement weather.

• Potential to gain BCBA supervision experience hours.
