We are looking for talented medical professionals to aid in a collaboration with our partnership with the Georgia Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. As a medical professional you will be touching the lives of people performing Consultative Examinations. A CE is a physical or mental examination purchased by the Disability Determination Service (DDS) for a person who has applied for disability benefits. Consultative Examiners must possess a current license in the state of Georgia where examinations are performed and have the training and experience to conduct vocational evaluations.
General information
- A licensed professional in charge of performing speech therapy to improve communication.
- Speech Therapists must be able to listen to and communicate with their patients in order to determine the right course of treatment.
- The primary role is to diagnose speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults.
- The therapist would perform an initial exam in the office or in the Atlanta geographical area.
- Must have prior Consultative Examiner experience
Expectations
- Schedule and perform an initial evaluation.
- Evaluate speech and language test results, barium swallow results, or medical or background information to diagnose and plan treatment for speech, language, fluency, voice, or swallowing disorders.
- Develop or implement treatment plans for problems such as stuttering, delayed language, swallowing disorders, or inappropriate pitch or harsh voice problems.
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatments accordingly.
- Write reports and maintain proper documentation for case management.

$40.00 per hr maximum 3 hours per client
