Blue Ridge Equine is looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician with equine experience to Join our fun and friendly team. Blue Ridge Equine strives to help our team members find a balance between life and work. The experienced licensed technician would have at least one year of experience in the veterinary industry and have experience working with horses. They would be compassionate towards our patients, clients, and staff. Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must. They would be a positive team player looking to support our already amazing team and willing to continue their education. The ideal candidate needs to feel confident with properly handling and being around horses, assisting in surgery, placing IV catheters, dispensing and administering medications prescribed by the veterinarian, familiar with x-ray and proper positioning, drawing blood and running bloodwork, experience with laboratory equipment, and any dental experience would be a plus. If you are a hard worker, able to multi-task, have a love for working with horses and people, and are ready to continue to advance your career and skills then Blue Ridge Equine is looking forward to hearing from you!!

Requirements:- Licensed Veterinary Technician, must have a current license
- 1+ years of prior veterinary experience
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
- Experience with proper horse handling and restraint
