Elementary English Teacher

Overview
The Elementary English Teacher supports the school’s mission and every student’s right to an ISI education.
The teacher works collaboratively with all faculty to ensure a fully integrated educational experience working within the Primary Years Programme Framework in a bilingual setting.

Preferred Qualifications Skills and Experience:
● Experience with the Primary Years Programme
● International outlook and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
● Strong interpersonal skills
● Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
● Teaching experience

Responsibilities
The Elementary English Teacher:

● Teaches grade 3 classes of grade 1 English daily
● Plans and teaches reading and writing
● Contributes to school programs and events
● Collaborates with colleagues
● Creates positive educational climate for students
● Participates in professional development
● Tutors students individually as needed
● Establishes and communicates clear objectives for all learning activities
● Communicates with parents in a positive and timely manner

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $112.00 - $121.00 per day

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Indianapolis, IN 46208: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
