This position is on site until the candidate is trained. When candidate is trained they will be given the opportunity to work in office and remote (hybrid schedule to be determined) with manager's approval.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare various reports on a daily basis
- Download pictures from emails and camera cards, rename and reformat as needed
- Download bill of lading documentation and rename
- Files claims and attach supporting documentation and photos with vendors/carriers in a timely manor
- Work with receiving, traffic and shipping departments to obtain needed documentation
- Act as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance and consistency for daily business requirements
- Develop, implement, and execute standard operation procedures for inbound, outbound, internal and dedicated transportation for TranzAct operations.
- Proactively identify root cause analysis and lead process improvement initiatives
- Communicate in real-time to a diverse group of team members and stakeholders
- Partner with internal customers to drive overall efficiencies across the operation.
- Provide out of the box ideas by applying new technologies and best-practices and processes in the industry
- Provide leadership in the execution of all tasks; direct the team and communicate requirements to both internal and external organizations
- Build strong relationships with senior leadership through effective communication and collaboration to support company goals
- Develop presentations to demonstrate solution components and value proposition
- Provide effective solutions for Client through extensive knowledge on relevant modes of transportation (Air, Ocean, Small Parcel, International, Expedited, LTL, Truckload, Partial, Flatbed, Intermodal etc.)
- Collaborate with support departments (Finance, IT, Accounting, Carrier Sales, etc.) to drive process efficiency and deliver results to the Client
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
- Make decisions by assessing the situation to determine the importance, urgency, and risks, and make clear decisions that are timely and in the best interests of the organization.
- Build relationships with Clients through constant contact and advocacy by offering advice, solutions, and proactive issue management
- Other duties that may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Operations experience at a current Third Party Provider (3pl) or an asset based carrier
- General knowledge of the flow of goods within a supply chain
- Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills and interpersonal skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time
- Experience with WMS and TMS software applications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Current Third Party Provider (3pl) or asset based carrier experience
- Client facing experience
- Demonstrated ability to form collaborative partnerships with all levels within and outside the organization
- Demonstrated organizational follow-through/up skills
