Maleko Personnel has partnered with a leading aluminum & wood-drying company in Clackamas , Oregon. We are hiring Machine Operators to join our team!

SUMMARY:

Full time position

Pay rate: $19.50

Schedule: Mon-Fri 7AM - 3:30PM

Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, punches, shear, break, saws, grinders and hand tools, to manufacture lumber dry kiln parts by performing the following duties...

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Properly follow all safety procedures
• Reads blueprints, sectio bills and material requistions for product specifications such as demensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions such as fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cut, and determines sequence of operations.
• Sets up machines and equipment, selects, positions and secures tooling.
• Layout parts using proper layout and measuring tools in order to accurately process parts.
• Positions and secures work piece in holding device, machine table, chuck, centers, fixtures or manually handling materials through machines.
• Moves controls to position tool and work piece in relation to each other, and to set specified feeds, speeds, and depth of cut.
• Sets up fixture or feeding device, starts machine, and processes work piece through the machine operations.
• Observes operation of machine and verifies conformance of machined work piece to specifications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To preform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily., The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.

• MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, as well as the ability to read a ruler.
• PHYSICAL DEMANDS - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk/hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. the employee must regularly lift/move up to 10-50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
