Maintenance & Grounds Technician (Part Time) - MSPCA-Angell Cape Cod
Job description
The MSPCA-Angell Cape Cod is looking for applicants with Maintenance & Grounds experience to provide general property maintenance and repair at the MSPCA facilities at our site in Centerville, Massachusetts. We are seeking a candidate who has experience in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and grounds maintenance.
Duties include:
- Physical maintenance throughout the facility including painting, carpentry, as well as general utility work and landscaping duties.
- Mechanical maintenance for equipment including HVAC heating and cooling units, washer/dryer, dishwasher etc.
- General building upkeep including filter changes and general plumbing issues
- Provide on-call after hour assistance for emergencies and snow removal.
- Assist with contracted landscaper work as needed
- Assist with keeping up on automotive maintenance (single transit van)
- Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Operations at Cape Cod or the Properties Manager
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift a minimum of 80 lbs.
- Able to perform moderate to heavy physical operation when required including pushing and pulling.
- Perform a variety of physical labor including climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for long periods of time.
- Lift and carry boxes, tools, equipment and materials.
APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:
We are looking for mechanically inclined applicants with at least 2 years of experience in landscaping and /or automotive repair and general knowledge of plumbing and electrical repair, and mechanical and carpentry repair. Experience
Required
- General knowledge of plumbing and electrical repair, and mechanical and carpentry repair.
- Applicants must have a valid Drivers License
- Prior experience with Backhoe, lawn mower, weed wackers, snow plow trucks, snow blowers and RTV plowing machines.
- 2 year(s): Related work experience in landscaping and /or automotive repair
Education
Required- High School or better
