To that end, the purpose of this job is to assist in the development and implementation of new machinery or equipment used in the production process. Furthermore, maintains, evaluates, and modifies current mechanical processes ensuring the efficient operation of plant machinery/equipment.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School diploma or preferred; degree in Maintenance, Industrial Technology, Engineering or related field preferred.
Experience: Three years of experience in a food processing environment preferred; five years of equipment maintenance experience in areas such as agriculture, production, or manufacturing required; three years supervisory experience preferred; and strong electrical and PLC knowledge.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Primary person responsible for monitoring and managing the maintenance backlog
- Partners with rest of Essentia management team to assist in prioritizing and scheduling of PM work and repairs requests based on anticipated parts delivery dates.
- Optimizes maintenance and resources by building schedules that reduce equipment downtime and effectively utilize resources
- Estimates maintenance labor hours and materials needed to complete work orders.
- Serves as an important member of the Maintenance leadership team in the planning and execution of small and large scale projects
- Ensuring that all work plans are completed, and resource needs are identified
- Builds and maintains a Daily/Weekly schedule
- Works closely with maintenance management to develop, track, and analyze maintenance data and KPI’s
- Utilize manuals, blueprints and/or electrical schematics to develop maintenance work instructions
- Manage the equipment Bill of Materials in the CMMS system.
- Research materials required for repairs and create bills of materials.
- Continuous review and update of Master Data in the CMMS system
- Allocates material to work orders in the CMMS system
- Schedule and coordinate outside vendors for repairs and service evaluations.
- Develop and modify the Preventive Maintenance standards and instructions
- Promoting a safe and compliant work culture
- Attends daily and weekly scheduling/maintenance meetings
- Communication with Production Scheduling pertaining to Maintenance activities
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Experience in an applicable CMMS system (SAP, EAM, MP2, Maximo) Specific experience in Infor EAM, MP2, or D7i a plus.
- Must be organized.
- Strong computer skills are a must.
- Able to communicate well, and work in team environment.
- Experience in manufacturing maintenance is preferred.

BASIC MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
This job requires the mental capabilities to analyze situations, problem solve, logical thinking in maintaining the reliable operation of all plant equipment/machinery as required by the job duties. Additionally, this employee must be able to handle multiple tasks and understand the production process. Furthermore the incumbent for this position must have the abilities to solve problems as they arise, continually strive to improve upon current processes and excellent communication skills in training personnel on the operation of plant equipment/machinery.

General manufacturing work conditions exist for this job and include but are not limited to the following: exposure to chemicals, caustics, cleaning components; temperatures ranging from freezing to extreme heat; high noise levels; tile and concrete floors; machinery and equipment; extended work hours; and high exposure to dust.
