Maintenance Technicians:

Spring Glen Fresh Foods is seeking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. This position will work closely with all divisions within our company to ensure that all systems, machinery, and equipment is functioning properly and safely. This position is a full-time position on our 1st shift. Job Description

Provide basic maintenance services as assigned and further develop maintenance skills and knowledge in maintenance. Responsible for following food safety, legal and quality policies including but not limited to: Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety, product quality, food security, etc.

Job Responsibilities / Essential Functions:

1. Adhere to LOTO and all common safety practices or rules including the wearing of protective equipment as required.

2. Performs preventative maintenance and repair of all plant equipment and buildings with minimal supervision.

3. Ability to learn and use shop equipment, basic hand-held power tools to perform routine repairs safely and properly.

4. Complete all documentation as required by Maintenance Manager.

5. Assists other mechanics in maintaining a high level of productivity in the plant

6. Develops the ability to use the computerized maintenance management system to enter work requests and retrieve data on plant equipment.

7. The ability to attend work predictably and regularly and to be punctual.

8. The ability to read and understand documents, drawings, and instructions (whether presented in written, oral, diagram or schedule form).

9. The ability to work with mathematical concepts and to apply concepts to practical situations.

10. The ability to work cooperatively with others.

11. The ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and coworkers.

12. The ability to perform several tasks at once.

13. The ability to follow direction or instruction.

14. The ability to use a computer to communicate, create, and access information.

15. The ability to lift and move 50 pounds.

16. The ability to sit/stand/bend/stretch, etc.

17. The ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with the hands and arms.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have ability to read, write, speak, and understand basic English.
• Previous experience performing preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and related building support equipment required.
• Ability to perform functions including, but not limited to troubleshooting equipment problems, perform basic repairs, read/understand technical manuals, etc. Competent in using hand tools and powered equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year ammonia refrigeration experience
• 1 year programmable logic controller experience

The position requires ability to read, write and understand the English language, and have basic math skills in order to satisfactorily complete job requirements.
