The Mammography Technologist, under direct supervision, utilize specialized knowledge and skills to produce high quality mammographic images for screening and/or diagnosis for specified patient population. This position is responsible to complete required documentation for MQSA/ACR/FDA accreditations. Qualifications

This position requires a Washington State License as a Radiologic Technologist; a certificate from the American Registry of Radiological Technology including mammography; minimum one year experience in Diagnostic Radiology (or two years at VM as a student tech); 24 hours of continuing medical education are required every two years; a CPR license to be renewed every two years; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology; strong organizational skills; a willingness to grow with technological changes occurring in the field; the ability to manage stressful situations appropriately; the ability to attend to multiple tasks and work independently; and the ability to be versatile and flexible. A high school diploma or GED is required for this position. Preferred is two years of experience in mammography. Virginia Mason offers much more than competitive compensation and benefits.
