The Audit/Attestation Manager shall develop and maintain productive client relationships, effectively supervise assigned seniors and staff, oversee audit and attestation projects to ensure deadlines and budgets are met/exceeded, demonstrates a strong commitment to the Firm, communicates transparently and frequently, and performs work on all levels or engagements with little supervision while increasing focus on business development activities. The Manager shall work closely with the Senior Manager and Managing Director of the AEC Group to complete all assigned tasks.
Client Management and Service
- Responsible for overseeing and managing assigned audit and attestation engagements and direct oversight of project management initiative.
- Development of project budgets that meet/exceed benchmarks established by project management standards.
- Manage and coordinate resources to meet deadlines and complete projects on time and within budget.
- Oversee the preparation of engagement letters, in conjunction with development of project budgets.
- Coordinate and communicate timely resource planning needs with practice area manager.
- Monitor capacity and utilization of seniors and staff.
- Provide timely communications to senior manager and managing partner on progress updates on assigned engagements.
- Model and embrace monthly billing and A/R collections policies and practices
- Embrace the SN Way of becoming our client’s most trusted advisor, creating client delight, and meeting service standards.
- Frequent communication (telephone, email, etc.) with key client personnel throughout the engagements.
- Expand technical and professional knowledge through more significant exposure to new client situations, regular self-study, and formal training opportunities.

Business Development
- Cultivate client relationships through primary contact and by collaborating on industry specific strategies and efficiencies
- Develop new client contacts and relationships and recognize potential opportunities to provide additional services including cross-selling to existing client base.
- Participate in networking opportunities to secure new business leads as requested.

- Comply with firm’s quality control procedures and peer review requirements
- Meet/exceed expected available and billable hour goals
- Model and embrace daily timekeeping, maintain a current calendar of assignments, and make daily decisions about priorities

- Master level experience with technical tools.

Ad hoc duties and projects as assigned
- Certified Public Accountant license
- Bachelor’s in accounting, Tax/Taxation, Finance or similar
- 7+ years working experience in the accounting field
- Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), assurance standards, and/or tax regulations as applicable
- Excellent analytical skills
- Self-motivated and positive attitude
- Strong organizational and computer skills (Microsoft products)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Desire for knowledge to keep skill set relevant
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
