J. Gibson McIlvain Company is seeking an experienced recruiter to assist in all phases of talent management. This position provides recruiting assistance to HR Manager by sourcing, screening, interviewing, and making recommendations regarding potential employees. The right candidate will create and maintain relationships with local trade schools and colleges with the goal of recruiting potential candidates for our growing lumber company in White Marsh, Maryland and our architectural woodwork division in Hanover, Pennsylvania. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Regularly partners with hiring managers and other appropriate managers to anticipate and plan for staffing needs in advance of required start date.
· Sources candidates through various job boards, search engines, referrals, networking, career fairs. and programs developed with local trade schools and colleges with programs in relevant industry.
· Develops and maintains recruiting programs with colleges and local trade schools offering programs relevant to our industry.
· Develops and maintains relationships with agencies, and other sources of high-quality candidates.
· Schedules and attends job fairs.
· Makes recommendations regarding recruitment programs, budgets, and collateral to attract applicants and to fill specific job openings.
· Generates and maintains internal and external job postings; determines effective advertising mediums; places appropriate advertisements.
· Pre-screens, interviews, assesses, and presents top-quality candidates to upper management.
· Performs reference checks on all potential candidates prior to job offer; provides detailed information to hiring manager.
· Manages relationships with external agencies and vendors who advertise and promote targeted jobs.
· Foster positive company culture and employee relations
· Researches, analyzes, and prepares recruiting statistics/measurements.
· Recruits for all-level positions, e.g., general labor, job specific skill sets, sales, management, exempt and nonexempt.
· Some travel required, approximately 20%
· Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
· Minimum of Associates degree or 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
· Experience in manufacturing recruiting and staffing
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Confidentiality, trustworthiness and dependability
· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
· Ability to manage priorities and workflow
· Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
· Ability to work independently and with a team
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, primarily WORD and EXCEL
· Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels
· Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
· Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
· Ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels
· Professional appearance and demeanor
Salary is commensurate with experience.

Pay: $62,500.00 - $70,000.00 per year
