Manager of Volunteer Services (Regional)

Description:

Community Legal Services is seeking a Manager of Volunteer Services for our dynamic, non-profit law firm. The Manager of Volunteer Services will administer all aspects of the organization’s volunteer and non-paid internship program including recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers.

They will be responsible for:

  • Communicating with all departments of the organization to identify available opportunities and needs for volunteers.
  • People management and engagement of volunteers.
  • Supporting departments of the organization that regularly work with volunteers, including pro bono, community outreach, and substantive law units.
  • Managing the recruitment of volunteer staff to fit these roles using a variety of resources and techniques, and helps manage, document, and communicate onboarding processes for the different types of volunteers.
  • Gathering information about each volunteers’ skills, availability, and goals; matches volunteers with appropriate opportunities based on this data.
  • Conducting continuous evaluation of the programs and services delivered by the volunteer and implements corrections when necessary.
  • Regularly communicates with volunteers to ensure placement is a good fit for individuals’ skills and goals.
  • This is a full-time, position with the ability to work both scheduled and flexible work hours, including some evenings/weekends, based on business needs to perform duties, attend meetings and/or other functions within or outside the CLS 12-county service area.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field highly preferred.
  • Proven experience as Volunteer Manager or in Human Resources preferred.
  • Successful candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter, and quick learner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate and encourage others.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Valid Florida automobile license, use of own auto, and proof of insurance necessary.
