Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer will oversee the design of production machinery and will identify and recommend solutions to production problems related to materials, processes, and tooling.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Designs tools and machines used to manufacture products.

· Support Engine Major Components Machining operations by developing and implanting work instructions, routings, CNC programs and labor standards.

· Reviews production program equipment, hardware, and tooling; makes recommendations for repairs or replacement.

· Oversees the development of new processes, methods, and production controls. Including operation manuals for new and existing equipment.

· Installs new equipment and ensures that it operates correctly; trains others to operate new machinery.

· Performs continuance improvement activities to address, safety, quality and productivity while using LEAN manufacturing thinking.

· Maintains knowledge of new and developing manufacturing technology, equipment, and applications; applies this knowledge to recommend and implement new technology and processes.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess problems or issues with manufacturing equipment. With extensive knowledge of production processes.

· Knowledge of manufacturing, CNC Programming, quality, tooling, and layout design.

· 1 or more years of experience in one or more engineering areas: Machining, Production, Manufacturing, or Quality.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, and computer-aided drafting (CAD) software. Knowledge in engineering tools such as CREO, AutoCAD, CATIA and Soildworks preferred.

Education and Experience:

· Degree in Engineering/Technology discipline or related Engineering field.

· Three years of experience as a manufacturing engineer required.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
