Maintainer Position – Olympia, WA

HIRING for Night shifts

Wages

  • Starting at $31.69/hrly plus 5% night differential (also OT paid after 8 hrs a day) *Also paying $2.49/hr for cost of living on any actual worked houres**
  • Schedule is 4 days on and 4 days off

This is a skilled position with a comprehensive training program. Successful candidates will be required to complete a 6,000-hour training program to become a fully qualified Maintainer. Extensive on-the-job-training (OJT) will be provided.

Job Accountabilities:
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS INCLUDE: The Maintainer will be responsible for set up, adjustment, repair, overhaul, perform PM’s, ESE’s, and evaluation of seamless can line equipment as required to maintain standard quality and quantity production. Has primary responsibility for safe mechanical performance of line and standard production output. Disassemble, replace, reassemble, inspect, and maintain assigned machinery and equipment as required. Measure and record all can dimensions against specifications. Maintain records of production, quality and other related records as directed. Troubleshoot mechanical issues; perform mechanical repairs and maintenance for production equipment. Has primary responsibility for safety for all areas of assigned duties.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • The successful candidate will be required to complete a 6,000-hour training program to become a fully qualified Maintainer
  • Mechanical experience is required (Mechanical School experience is okay)
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must possess basic math skills
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, work on elevated platforms, and endure climate changes
  • Ability to work under pressure and have flexibility to adjust to work patterns or schedules
  • Ability to work independently and with teams and must have good interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, evenings, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate
  • Fully comply with all OSHA and WISHA safety rules and regulations
  • This position requires union membership after 30 days of hire

  • Mechanical experiences working in a manufacturing setting or familiarity with power and hand tools. Auto Mechanics is a PLUS.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must possess basic math skills.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods as well as work on elevated stationary platforms and withstand extreme climate changes especially during summer and winter months.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, good record keeping ability
  • Ability to work under time pressures and flexibility to adjust to sudden work patterns or schedules. • Ability to work independently and with teams and must have good interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, evenings, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
  • Fully comply with all OSHA and WISHA safety rules and regulations.
