LCRA, a rock- solid Austin based organization, is seeking a self-starter applications administrator to join our highly skilled Market Systems team, and to contribute to providing meaningful, mission critical and vital services to communities in central Texas and across the state.

You will be trusted to:

  • Maintain and support our suite of mission-critical applications
  • Plan and execute system installations, configurations, and application upgrades
  • Maintain our cyber security profile against incessant threats
  • Seek, discover, and initiate system improvements and enhancements
  • Maintain an inventory of technology assets and configurations
  • Document and diagram systems and application architectures
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve issues that come up
  • Stay up to date on latest technology trends
  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation with your teammates
  • Interface with business users, technology teams, and software vendors

You qualify with:

  • Nine or more years of experience in providing troubleshooting, configuration, administration and support for software applications. A degree(s) in computer science, information technology or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.

You are a great fit with:

  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in Windows Operating Systems
  • Strong knowledge and experience with modern software application architectures
  • Strong knowledge of current web technologies
  • Strong knowledge of computer networks, communication protocols, and related configurations
  • Strong knowledge of current software development environments, frameworks, and platforms
  • Strong knowledge of current database technologies both on the server and client sides
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong and diverse experience with scripting and automation technologies
  • Excellent command of documentation technologies, including tools for system diagrams
  • Excellent knowledge and practical experience in the use of network monitoring tools
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills in complex interconnected systems and applications
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with diverse business, vendor, and technical teams
  • Excellent user support skills
  • Prior experience supporting technology systems in the electric power industry

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $89,000.00 - $111,300.00 per year
