This position can be located in Bellevue, Seattle, Spokane, or Olympia, Washington. Bellevue preferred.

Primary Responsibilities

This position is located in Bellevue or Seattle, Washington, and supports our growing Water Business Group throughout our Washington office locations. Working in a team environment, the marketing coordinator is responsible for supporting our marketing program activities including client/pursuit planning, messaging and production, proposal organization and delivery, client interview preparation, providing graphic/multimedia support for proposals and meetings, and developing and maintaining marketing materials. These efforts require a significant amount of independent research, collaboration, writing, and creative thinking. Strong organizational, writing/composition, layout, and people skills along with the ability to develop project schedules and work under deadlines with diplomacy are essential. Previous work experience in A/E/C services are a plus.

This staff member will actively manage the pursuit development process from start to finish (planning, qualifications, proposal and interview) by applying a proven HDR client analysis and capture planning process, which staff member will be trained on. They will collaborate with staff to develop benefit driven text while evaluating technical content to produce documents that meet or exceed request for qualifications/proposals (RFQ/RFP) requirements and evaluation criteria. Skills include being a strong writer and editor to focus qualifications materials while independently evaluating and clarifying client requests prior to submitting materials.

Required Qualifications

  • Skills: Strong organizational skills with ability to schedule and manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines, either independently or as part of a team.
  • Communication: Strong communication (both written and verbal) and collaboration skills. Ability to communicate with diplomacy in stressful situations is essential.
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years (preferred) of marketing copy and/or technical writing, RFP/Q response, layout, and production experience in a corporate environment.
  • Software: Proficient in Adobe InDesign and MS Word and PowerPoint
  • Fully vaccinated for COVID-19. This position requires onsite client visits, or, this position will be co-located at the client site. The client requires all contractors/consultants/vendors who work or visit the site be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree; Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, English or Journalism preferred
  • Experience: Experience putting together responses to RFPs/RFQs. Previous experience in A/E/C industries a plus, but not necessary.
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically lnDesign, and MS Office (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and virtual meeting platforms (including WebEx, MS Teams)
  • Graphics / Multimedia Support: Strong design skills a plus.
  • Information / Databases: Comprehensive understanding of A/E/C marketing, and database management including resumes and project descriptions to support client and program development activities.
