Position Summary:

The Marketing Manager will report to the Director of Marketing Education and serve as one of the leaders on the marketing team. The Marketing Manager will oversee the marketing strategy and lead the execution of marketing plans for the Education department. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for reviewing current and upcoming education offerings and work closely with groups across the organization to provide marketing support. The candidate will create marketing plans for programs, professional development initiatives, online courses, and other virtual offerings in conjunction with the Director of Marketing Education. This role will partner with key staff from various IHI teams across the organization.

Position Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop strategic marketing plans to support specific marketing objectives across different channels and segments in support of our programs and events
  • Lead the execution of marketing plans from start to finish, driving collaboration with the stakeholders and leveraging the right internal processes
  • Evaluate the impact of marketing strategy in achieving their stated objectives, including impact on lead flow and retention
  • Propose and work closely with Marketing Operations and Market Research to generate consumer insights in support of improved marketing strategy and communications
  • Represent the marketing team to cross-functional groups across the organization
  • Work with other members of the marketing team, other internal stakeholders, and external agencies and vendors
  • Lead strategic departmental marketing projects as assigned

Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to multi-task large-scale marketing initiatives
  • Ability to write a marketing plan that communicates high-level strategy and actionable tactics
  • Solid problem-solving ability, including metrics-driven thinking
  • Strong organization skills and detailed orientated
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong budget management experience
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in a non-profit environment and assume responsibility for guiding marketing projects and programs from inception through completion
  • Ability to organize and maintain a wide variety of activities in a multi-tasking fast paced format

Position Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or relevant field requirement; or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years of experience required in marketing, advertising and or sales with a proven track-record showing measurable success
  • Prior experience managing budgets for marketing campaigns and projects
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook 365)
  • Proficient knowledge with social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter)
  • Commitment to IHI's mission and values

Preferred

  • At least 6 months of supervisory experience
  • Experience working for a non-profit organization
  • Up to speed with current and online marketing techniques and best practices
  • Experience in and knowledge of health care field is highly valuable
  • Passion for IHI's mission and mission-driven approach
