Operates forklift and other associated material handling equipment in the transporting, loading, and unloading of materials, parts and equipment to designated areas by instruction of supervisor or by written instruction.
M-F 6:50AM-2:50PM - 1st Shift - $19.59/hour
M-F 2:50PM-10:50PM - 2nd Shift - $19.59/hour
M-F 10:50PM-6:50AM - 3rd Shift - $19.59/hour + $1.50 Shift Bonus
M-F 10AM-6PM - 50/50 - $19.59/hour + $1.50 Shift Bonus
DETAILED DUTIES
- Drives forklift and operates other associated power driven and hand operated material handling equipment in the movement of stock, materials, equipment, waste and parts.
- Loads or unloads material and equipment being shipped or received.
- Checks packing list upon the receipt of materials for conformance with purchase orders and completes necessary receiving transaction.
- Responsible for putting material in stock location upon completion of receiving transactions.
- Responsible for movement of chips, scrap material, and wrapping/weighing pallets.
- Determines status of parts and job orders to keep flow of the moving to next operation.
- Reports any deficiencies in forklift operation to the assigned supervisor and performs preventive maintenance required in the day-to-day operation such as checking gasoline supply, keeping battery charged, changing gasoline tanks and keeping clean.
- Responsible for good housekeeping. Keeps material locations throughout plant neat and orderly.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have the ability to operate material handling equipment in a safe and orderly fashion.
- Requires the ability to understand written or verbal instructions. Must have good depth perception in handling stock.
