Overall purpose and objective of the position:

The Material Handler ("MH") performs a combination of tasks including but not limited to handling Saverglass Inc.'s ("SGI") or its vendor/supplier materials driving gasoline, liquefied gas, or electric powered industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices such as forklift and efficiently and safely loads, unloads, and conveys materials.

Reports to: Material Handler Supervisor

Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Responsibilities:

• The MH is responsible for handling materials inside SGI Cordelia Warehouse in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulation. It can be handling operations done manually or using the proper handler equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE);
• The MH has to maintain inventory accuracy, storage organization, maximization and cleanliness of Cordelia SGI distribution centers (warehouse);
• The MH should ensure that all goods inside the warehouse are properly identified, safely stored and packaged and in the right location;
• The MH shall monitor the accuracy of the inventories using the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• The MH will bear the responsibility to research and resolve discrepancies;
• The MH will provide the sample following the sample requests;
• The MH will also be in charge of re-packaging pallets if they are not properly packaged;
• The MH can perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor which are reasonably within the scope of the duties of this job classification.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Two years of experience in similar role
• Forklift Operator Certification
• Prior forklift operator experience in a warehouse environment
• Knowledge in Warehouse Management System
• Able to work in a team environment and take direction
• Experience in glass bottles industry is a plus
• Bilingual - Spanish

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
