Job description
ULG Skilled Trades seeks Welder / Fabricator for rack installation project - ASAP.
- PAY: $18 - $20 / hour
- HOURS: 40 - 50 / week
- SCHEDULE: Mon - Thur, 7 - 5:30; Fri OT
- STARTS: ASAP (this week)
- ENDS: 4-8 weeks ( longer if good fit )
SCOPE: Works from prints to fabricate and weld industrial racks for installation in an addition to a production facility. Utilizes safe and accurate welding methods, contributes to the team's success through strong communication skills and good work ethic.
Soft skills: Dependability, integrity, excellent attendance, strong team player
Long-term work offers based on skillset and fitness for steel erection work, including working from heights with a lanyard/harness from a lift or ladder. It would require reliable daily transportation (to drive to our job sites); willingness to work as a part of a team, great attendance, good performance and willingness to work from heights.
REQUIREMENTS:
- ATTITUDE + ATTENDANCE = EVERYTHING!
- MUST read / work from written instructions, blueprints, or hand drawings;
- MUST have 2+ years of experience operating a standard MIG Stick welder;
- Experience in steel / metal building erection and/or carpentry preferred
