We are looking for an experienced on-site fleet maintenance semi-trailer mechanic/technician to join our Service Division! $2,000 sign-on bonus

This is a full-time, first shift, hourly/non-exempt position. Technicians have the option to work four 10-hour days (7:00am - 5:30pm) or five 8-hour days (8:00am - 4:30pm). We offer a competitive hourly wage based on experience, plus uncapped efficiency bonus potential. Sign-on bonus of $500 after 30 days of employment and $1500 after 6 months of continuous employment.

Transport Services is seeking an experienced professional to add to our already outstanding group of mechanical technicians. The position is an On-Site Fleet Maintenance Semi-Trailer Mechanic\Technician for our Service Division in Cleveland, Ohio.

A SUCCESSFUL ON-SITE FLEET MAINTENANCE SEMI-TRAILER MECHANIC/TECHNICIAN IS RESPONSIBLE FOR:

The primary function will be completing semi trailer and/or diesel truck repairs and maintenance in line with company and DOT standards at a customer site in one of our fully-equipped service trucks. The on-site mechanic/technicians will also perform some work in shop, as required.

REQUIREMENTS OF AN ON-SITE FLEET MAINTENANCE SEMI-TRAILER MECHANIC/TECHNICIAN

This is a first shift, hourly/non-exempt position

Requirements & Considerations:

· 1+ years of applicable trailer mechanics or diesel mechanics experience

· Demonstrate diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs

· Must provide own tools

· Self-motivated

· Hard-working

· Reliable

· Works well with others.

· Must be able to read and write

· Occasionally move parts and/or materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

· Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time

· Must be able to bend

· Must be able to use power tools

· May be required to work more than 8 hours during a workday

Preferred, but not required:

· Welding/fabrication experience

· Commercial Driver’s License

· ASE certifications

· Diesel/Truck repair experience

· Electrical/Refrigeration experience

THE LOCATION

The Cleveland Branch of Transport Services is our original branch and corporate headquarters located in North Royalton, OH. Cleveland’s Service Division includes an 18-bay service shop that services commercial fleet semi trailers and diesel trucks. We specialize in everything from regular maintenance to custom fabrication to major collision repairs. The Service Division works in tandem with our on-site Rental, Sales, and Parts Divisions.
