Monument Setter/ Plant Assistant
Hammond, LA
Brandon G. Thompson Monuments is seeking a candidate to fill a full- time Monument Setter/ Plant Assistant position. We are looking for a hardworking and detail-oriented individual who is able to work in a team setting.
We are an independently owned monument company serving Tangipahoa Parish and surrounding areas. You will assist in all stages of monument construction, from applying stencils and sandblasting to pouring concrete and setting stones in cemeteries.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Basic carpentry skills
- Ability to lift 120 pounds
- Physically load and unload vehicle deliveries/move stock
- Detail-oriented and quality-focused
- Perform final checks
- Apply stencil
- Sandblast stones
- Set forms and pour concrete
- Set memorials
- Ability to work in a team setting, be cooperative and collaborative
- Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, core standards, and compliance matters
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Pass drug screening
- Valid Louisiana driver’s license
- Masonry or carpentry experience preferred
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
