Our MRI Technologists work closely with one another to successfully handle a high volume of patient cases, some of which are among the rarest and most complex in the world. And these professionals are rewarded by dynamic and caring leaders!
Seeking bring on two (2) MRI Technologist (Per Diem) to join our expanding healthcare team! Both openings are per diem, one (#1) would be within our inpatient/hospital setting & the second (#2) within our outpatient medical center setting.

- Location: Norwalk, CT
- Salary: $35 - $55+ per hour
Required Skills
- Reviews patient schedules before patients arrives.
- Demonstrates a proactive approach in confirming the patients arrival.
- Appropriately choose correct patient based on schedule and priority.
- Review scripts and all pertinent prior studies and notes.
- Check for blood work when necessary.
- Check authorization when necessary.
- Confirm patient identification by asking patient to spell last name and provide D.O.B.
- Apply appropriate screening questions for MRI safety following departments policy and procedure.
- Collect clinical/medical history from patient:
- Confirm the ordered test and laterality/body part.
- Explain the exam to the patient in simple terms.
- Perform exam according to diagnosis, patient history, and protocol.
- Provide as much comfort to the patient as possible during exam.
- Check all imaging before releasing the patient.
- Input information to Meditech, including taken status, depart, and billing.
- Input all clinical information into PACS/ARIS portal and check that all images were sent.
- Appropriate communication should take place depending on the priority and findings of the exam.
- All technical & clinical aspects should be communicated through the technologist.
- Provide communication about any delays to patient.
When tech aide is not available technologists will stock gowns/robes.
- Change and prepare patients for exams.
- Perform QA/QC tests and understand limits.
Education & Experience:
- Must graduate from an accredited radiography school/program (required)
- Technologist must be certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT), ARMRIT become ARRT MR certified within 1 year of hire date (required)
- 2-3 years’ experience (preferred)
Pay: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour
