Network/Security Solution Architect

Converge Technology Solutions is looking for a Network/Security Solutions Architect in the Dallas/Houston area. This is a technical sales support role for our Account Management team. Your ability to clearly articulate networking and security solutions and services to our existing client base and prospects is essential.

Your involvement in our opportunities will start with the initial client meeting and continue through the design phases of the solution. You must be a self-starter, require minimal supervision, and possess strong technical and design knowledge of network and security technology and controls. This position requires excellent communications skills (written and verbal), as well as the ability to work as part of a team.

• Ability to deliver accurate Bills of Materials
• Ability to communicate with the technical services delivery team to convey client end-goals
• Strong organizational skills to effectively manage your own time, calendar and follow-ups
• Excellent customer service and communication skills

Experience and qualifications we’re looking for:

• 5+ years’ networking and security experience with knowledge of associated best practices and technology.
• Must be able to quickly learn several products across a wide range of network and security technologies
• Strong working knowledge of network and security products. Preferred solutions could include technologies from Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Microsoft, CyberArk and F5.
• Network areas of focus include, but are not limited to, LAN/WAN design and architecture, SD-WAN, segmentation and wireless.
• Security areas of focus include, but are not limited to, perimeter security, endpoint protection, EDR, MFA, web and DNS security, email protection.
• 2+ years pre-sales client facing experience

Optional but not required:

• Knowledge of technical assessment processes such as penetration and web application testing
• Compliance experience ideally including PCI and HIPAA
• Experience with security frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST CSF
• 4-year college degree or equivalent industry certifications
• CISSP or other security industry certifications are preferred
