Job description
Evaluates test findings, makes assessments and initiates appropriate actions to facilitate the implementation of preventative and or therapeutic plans for the continuing health care needs of the student; Performs routine physical examinations which shall include taking vital signs and blood pressure; Diagnoses of illness and physical conditions discovered during routine examinations with referrals to the primary health provider; Screens and evaluates findings for deficits in scoliosis, growth, etc; Records, reviews and interprets medical and social history of students; Initiates referrals to parents and school personnel for intervention, remediation and follow through; Serves as a resource to school personnel within the directive of HIPPA; Dispenses medication as required.
This is a 10 month position that will follow the school calendar.
The Nurse Practitioner will provide nursing services to component and non-component school districts as requested.
