Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Cardiology

Hampden and Franklin County Cardiovascular Associates is seeking a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team of Providers. The appropriate candidate should possess experience in working independently with minimum supervision, a willingness to be a team player and an interest in a long-term relationship in a well-established practice. Essential Job Functions

• Provides direct patient care services. Elicits detailed patient histories, assesses patient medical needs, initiates appropriate diagnostic testing and/or treatment and completes appropriate medical record documentation.
• Screens patients for appropriateness for cardiac testing.
• Supervises exercise and pharmacological stress tests.
• Make use of evidence-based medicine procedures by utilizing quality and cost-effective care
• Performs other procedure related tasks in Cardiology.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Medical Director/Management.
• Follow-up care.
• Assists Physicians with hospital rounding as necessary.

Qualifications

• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with licensure in good standing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• 3-5 years of experience preferred; will consider new grads with hospital experience.
• Must also hold BLS and ACLS from American Heart Association.
