Valley Pet Sitting Inc. is a thriving dog walking and pet sitting business based out of Woodland Hills but services the entire San Fernando Valley. We are looking for an Office Administrator to run day-to-day operations with the company tht lives in the surrounding areas of Sherman Oaks, Van Nuys, North Hollywood, Reseda, Tarzana, or Northridge.

Duties include, but are not limited to, running our workflow database, ensuring all pet sitters are at proper locations in real time, managing our clients and sitters, sales and intake of new clients, scheduling, and handling pet-sitting emergencies as they come up. We are looking for people quick on their feet with excellent problem solving skills, ability to multi-task, and ability to communicate with both our clients and our pet sitters clearly. This is a fast paced industry requiring office staff to take on a leadership role with sitters and guide them under pressure while handling several other tasks.

Work will be part - full time starting at 20-25 hours a week for office work + additional in field pet sitting hours depending on availability and seasonal requirements of the position. Office hours can include morning / afternoon / evening shifts during the week, including partial Saturday and Sunday shifts. At this time we are looking for Wed/Thursday and Saturday/Sunday afternoon to evening shifts but can discuss. Holiday availability is a MUST but do our best accommodate time with family and friends. Training time will be done in office with management, but once you have completed probationary period you will have the opportunity to work remotely. You must have a private, quiet workspace where you can answer calls and perform business tasks uninterrupted.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in running an office
  • Tech Savvyness with computers & computer programs like Word, Excel, Pages, etc. Basic understanding of navigating Social Media (FB, IG, Tiktok)
  • Animal Experience/Knowledge
  • Minimum 1 year commitment
  • Holiday availability (all major holidays and three day weekends)
  • Reliable Vehicle (Your own - not shared)
  • Laptop and a Smartphone with a data plan
  • Quiet/private remote workspace & Wifi
  • Multitasking / prioritizing tasks
  • Proactive thinker/Problem Solver
  • Teamplayer
  • Knowledge in graphic design for pictures/videos is a plus
  • Social Media/Marketing/Creative Design experience is a plus

MUST LIVE IN WOODLAND HILLS OR THE IMMEDIATE SURROUNDING AREA. We are looking for candidates in the following locations: (Located in the San Fernando Valley – areas of Sherman Oaks, Van Nuys, North Hollywood, Reseda, Tarzana, or Northridge. ) We are looking for people that reside less than 5-10 minutes from our main office location of Woodland Hills, due to the location of required office materials. Commuting isn't an option with this position, unfortunately.
