Magic Broom in Waldorf, MD is looking to hire a full-time Office Manager to oversee our administrative duties from hiring and onboarding to cleaning and maintaining machines and equipment. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN OFFICE MANAGER

As an Office Manager, you ensure that employee files are accurate, manage customer accounts, perform yearly evaluations, and assist with hiring. You make sure that we maintain effective phone and mail communications. Professionally and patiently, you respond to customer complaints in a timely manner either by telephone, electronically, or face to face. This includes providing them with pricing, scheduling, and account information as well as performing follow-up. You also oversee monthly staff meetings, review CER's, and provide feedback on the efficiency of the customer service process.

You ensure our software is up to date and that all areas and equipment in the office is maintained and in good working condition. As needed, you clean and organize the office. You negotiate vendor contracts for office supplies, equipment, and maintenance as well as keep various records, process orders, prepare customer activity reports, and even dispatch technicians. You write SOPs, job descriptions, and type or design general correspondences from memos and charts to tables and graphs. You feel good about using your administrative skills to keep our office running smoothly!


QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN OFFICE MANAGER

  • Bachelor's in business administration
  • 3+ years of office management experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, email, google business, and social media platforms
  • Knowledge of the fireplace industry
  • Ability to pass the CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep (CCS) exam within the first year of hire
