Paint Department Coordinator

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Royston Group is a leading supplier for grocery, convenience store, retail and laboratory fixtures and equipment with 9 production facilities (7 domestic and 2 international). The business is owned by a Private Equity company and is growing through a series of acquisitions along with organic growth.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

¨ High School Diploma or Equivalent

¨ Job-Related Experience not required, but general knowledge of manufacturing preferred

POSITION SUMMARY: The Paint Coordinator will be the leader for the Paint Department. The Coordinator will work closely with the Supervisor regarding daily product, hot jobs, and quality of product from department. The success of this position is based on effectively carrying out the following “Essential Functions of the Position.”

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:

¨ Able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week

¨ Perform various tasks related to paint set up and clean up and other duties as assigned

¨ Communicate effectively with team, coworkers, management, and office personnel

¨ Work independently and in a team environment

¨ Meet company-wide continuous improvement and performance goals

¨ Perform basic computer skills

¨ Read and operate measurement tools

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED TO MEET JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:.

¨ Knowledge and skill to set up, operate, and maintain spray equipment.

¨ Ability to change paint colors by flushing paint lines with solvent to prevent mixing or dilution of paint.

¨ Knowledge of manual spray equipment that is used to apply required thickness of paint in an even coat.

¨ May be required to assist with parts hanging, unloading, or sanding.

¨ Carry out instructions of supervisor.

¨ Maintain housekeeping standards to reduce waste and prevent accidents.

¨ Work under minimal supervision.

PROBLEM SOLVING/DECISION MAKING: General problem-solving and decision-making skills within limits of the positional scope.

DEGREE OF INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT: This position involves a reasonable degree of independent judgment.

DEGREE OF LATITUDE/FLEXIBILITY: This position requires low level autonomy with a high degree of flexibility.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
