Location: CAPE FEAR VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER
Position Summary:
Receive ticket indicating time of entrance into parking lot; operate computerized cash register to calculate parking fee based on length of time vehicle is parked in lot; collect money and make change; prepare receipts as required. Empty cash drawer at end of shift and prepare cash, tickets and cash register tapes for deposit in bank; prepare daily revenue reports as required. Collect money from Pay-In-Lane System and reinstall coins as required. Recover paper journal and prepare collections report from Pay-In-Line System.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Requires six months of cashier experience or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. Valid North Carolina driver’s license with a good driving record required. Must be able to calculate revenue using a basic business calculator. Must be able to read, write and follow written and verbal directions. Must document over/under revenue collection from customers. Must be able to meet requirements for CPR certification and nonviolent crises intervention training. Some heavy lifting may be required. Must possess excellent guest relations when customers have questions about parking deck operations or Emergency Department Lot. Mandatory and competencies must be completed within the 90-day probationary period.

May require moderate to heavy lifting up to 25 pounds. Speech, visual and auditory acuity is essential for communication.
