Safely Home is a children’s residential treatment center located in Bedford Ohio. We are licensed by the
Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, serving youth ages 6 – 18 years of age. We are looking to fill
the position of Part – Time Cook.
Qualifications:
 Experience in working with children
 High School Diploma or GED
 Three (3) years cooking experience in a commercial kitchen preferred
 Must be 21 years of age
 Should possess a Valid Ohio driver's license and safe driving record required
 Must be able to lift 45 lbs. from floor level
 Must pass physical
 Must pass background check
Skills:
 Have the ability to show creativity
 Have good record keeping skills
 Must be able to follow directions
 Must be flexible and cooperative
 Must be sensitive to the needs of children
 Must be able to relate to staff and youth
 Must be able to deal with other personnel tactfully and courteously
 Adapts positively to change
 Able to become food save certified
Responsibilities:
 Prepare meals for up to thirty (30) individuals
 Must be punctual
 Maintain a safe and sanitary food service area
 Unpack and appropriately store bulk food deliveries
 Must be knowledgeable of and adhere to agency policies and procedures
 Must be knowledgeable of and observe agency purchasing procedures for food and supply ordering
