Luther Village, a retirement community located in Arlington Heights, IL is looking for a responsible and organized individual to join our kitchen team. The individual will be responsible for operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and culinary tools including dish machine, three –compartment sinks, hand washing stations, mixers, meat slicer, ovens, grills, flat tops, steamers and kettles in a fast paced environment. Must maintain a clean and organized kitchen by emptying trash, sweeping and mopping floors in both kitchens and wash and sanitize work stations and equipment. Assist in light prep work and accepting delivered items.

This is a part time position paying $15/hour. Hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday from 4:00pm – 8:00pm. Perfect for a retiree, as an after school job or an individual looking for a 2nd job.

Communication and an understanding of English are required.

Must be available and have the flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Essential duties require the following physical abilities and work environment:

Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
