Parts Counter Professional

Wolverine Truck Group is looking for a friendly individual with parts experience to join our Parts Counter Personnel. We are a Freightliner, Ford and Western Star Dealer with three locations in the Metro Detroit area.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist walk-in customers and service technicians in selecting needed parts
• Answer incoming parts department calls promptly, determine customer needs and fulfill orders
• Read catalogs and e-catalogs to determine replacement part numbers and prices
• Determine replacement parts required according to inspections of old parts, customer requests, or customer descriptions of malfunctions
• Examine returned parts for defects
• Receive and fill telephone orders for parts
• Prepare part sales invoices
• Assist in management of inventory/stock
• Advise customers on substitution of parts when identical replacements are not available
• Mark and store parts according to prearranged systems
• Establishes and maintains rapport with current customers, always remaining aware of, and addressing their needs.

Skill Requirements:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• A customer service centered attitude and exceptional communication skills to convey information effectively
• Knowledge of ADP systems a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $65,200.00 per year
