Heritage Valley Beaver is looking for customer service-focused, friendly individuals with excellent communication skills and a desire to want to help people. Patient Access Representatives work as a team, in a supportive environment, to help guide our patients and their families through the registration process. Specifically, in this role you will:

· Obtain and/or update necessary demographic and insurance-related information

· Confirming insurance eligibility

· Collect and record patient payments including co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles

· Obtaining applicable signatures for consent to treat and financial responsibility, along with signatures on any required forms
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and willingness to want to learn new things. No experience necessary - only a strong work ethic and desire to learn alongside the latest technology, training is provided. If you have excellent communication skills and a desire to want to help people, we want to meet you!

We have full time and part time positions available.

Requirements: High school diploma or GED. Excellent communication skills and a customer-friendly demeanor; Ability to efficiently use computer-based applications. Must have effective interviewing skills in order to gain necessary information from patients with the ability to answer questions. Must be quick in analyzing problems determining appropriate solutions and performing multiple tasks at once. Must be able to prioritize assignments and have excellent organizational skills.

Preferred: Knowledge of ICD-9 or ICD-10 coding, medical terminology, billing and health insurance rules/processes

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.50 - $21.00 per hour
