Job description
Job Summary: Under the supervision of nursing staff members assists in providing patient care and documentation, such as activities of daily living and vital signs. Helps to maintain a clean environment.
Qualifications/Reporting:
Required minimum education: High School Graduate or equivalent is required. Enrolled in a professional nursing education program is preferred.
Required minimum experience: Patient Care Tech experience is preferred.
Required skills (if applicable): Effective oral communication skills. Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions. Demonstrated ability in basic nursing skills.
Required license/certification: Current BLS certification or must obtain within three months of hire date.
Job reports to (title of the position): Chief Nursing Executive, House Supervisor, All Department Nurse Managers, Unit Charge Nurses, Unit Nurse Coordinators, Registered Nurses and LVNs on unit.
