Responsibilities

Below is a list of your responsibilities as a PRN Patient Care Tech with YesCare:

• Reports off and on to nursing staff and finds coverage for patients when leaving floor for any length of time.
• Collect specimens upon determination of skill competency and assists with procedures and treatments with proper instruction and supervision.
• Answer telephone, transfer calls, record messages, provide information to appropriate staff.
• Ensure patients are prepared for transport as needed to offsite appointments, nurse or provider clinic, telemed visits, physical therapy, x-ray, etc… Gather data, document, and assist in unit record-keeping. Utilizes supplies and equipment with care and restocks as necessary.
• Observes patients and notes physical condition, attitude, reactions, or any unusual behavior and reports changes or unusual findings to nurse or supervisor. Communicate with LPN and RN regarding patient care issues. Ensure accurate reporting of any injury/accidents.
• Attends scheduled meetings as assigned. May be asked to orient new staff members to unit.
• Performs other duties generally related to the position and unrelated duties in emergency, as directed by supervisors, RN or LPN.
