Patient Service Representative – Full Time Position

Snohomish Family Medicine

Location: Snohomish, WAWestern Washington Medical Group’s Snohomish Family Medicine is looking for an energetic and friendly staff member to join our team! We currently have a need for a full-time Patient Service Representative with strong critical thinking skills that can work well in a team environment as well as independently. The Patient Services Representative works alongside the clinical staff to ensure efficient patient service within the department and is an integral member of our team.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Uses multiple computer and phone systems to fulfill patient needs:
• Verifies patient demographic
• Insurance verification
• Scheduling office visits and minor procedures
• Checking patients in and out for appointments
• New Patient Registration
• Claims processing for Workers Comp
• Answer questions, investigates and direct patient inquiries to the appropriate staff member
• Obtaining medical records, faxing, filing and scanning medical records

Qualifications/ Special Characteristics/ Requirements:

• Must be flexible, a team player, and attentive to details with exceptional customer service skills.
• Microsoft application skills: Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Data entry skills required.
• Excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail and accuracy.

Education Background:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous medical clinic experience is appreciated but not mandatory for the right candidate

Schedule: Full Time:

Monday – Friday – variable shifts between 7:30 A.M. – 5:30 P.M
*Candidate must also be willing to work a flexible schedule, with hours that may vary from day to day*
