ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

- Cordially greets and receives hospital guests, ascertains their need, and appropriately directs visitors and callers.
- Maintains miscellaneous records for the radiology director’s correspondence.
- Gathers data and does research for reports, quality assurance, and other projects as needed.
- Work in a high stress environment and maintain confidentiality.
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
- Able to help move patients when needed.
- Assist with other activities as deemed necessary for the day-to-day operation of the department.
- Organizational Support - Follows policies and procedures; Completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; Supports organization's goals and values; Benefits organization through outside activities; Supports affirmative action and respects diversity.
- Tracking patients in Hospital EMR
- Providing appropriate paperwork and communicating updates to patients and staff
QUALIFICATIONS
Want to be a part of our team? Qualifications for this position include:
- High School Diploma or GED, Associates Degree preferred
- 1 – 3 years medical office experience preferred
- Must be able to meet the physical demands which include standing, walking, bending, lifting, and transporting
- Must be able to utilize good judgment, demonstrate patience, and maintain a professional demeanor
- Interpersonal Skills - Maintains confidentiality; Listens to others without interrupting; Keeps emotions under control.
SKILLS
- Excellent written/verbal/telephone communication skills are essential, along with computer knowledge.
- Multi-Tasking and Time Management is Must.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and tasks
- Ability to deal with stressful situations
