Are you looking to get paid to make a difference in someone’s life while having fun? Thrive Support & Advocacy is searching for part-time team members who want to make a positive impact on others! We are hiring a Personal Care Assistant to work directly with a legally blind and deaf client. The PCA would transport the client from home to our Marlborough program, work one-to-one with the client in Marlborough, and then transport them home, three days(25 hours) per week.

Schedule:

Tuesday 9am-6pm
Wednesday 11am-6pm
Thursday 9am-6pm

Responsibilities:

• Assist individuals with activities such as shopping, making appointments, trips to the gym, social and recreational activities, community events, and leisure activities.
• Must be reliable and maintain positive communication with the individual and family members.

Specific Responsibilities for those wishing to use their Personal Care Assistant experience:

• Assistance with ambulation, walker and at mealtimes.
• Knowledge of software application for an IPAD.
• Personal care and hygiene assistance.
• Able to complete specific hygienic duties upon arrival.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and equipped with a dependable car.
• Ability to pass background checks and fingerprints.
• Must complete Thrive’s training program. We provide you with the skills you need to hit the ground running and ensure all staff members feel fully equipped to excel at their jobs. Required trainings include First Aid and CPR, and online Relias trainings.
