Meditemp is honoured to accept applicants for a paediatric inpatient position for one of our prestigious clients in London. You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing excellent care to young people and children.

The ward you will be providing care in holds 20 beds for children with medical conditions such as diabetes, epilepsy or orthopaedic conditions. Some of the 20 beds are in cubical with en-suite facilities and a television. The ward also provides excellent facilities to allow parents to stay by their child's side throughout their recovery/treatment. There is also a teenagers room and a room dedicated to younger children to relax in.

Registered General Nurse Skills and Experience:

• Ensure care is values-based, non-judgemental and equitable, and supports the principles of equality, diversity.
• Be able to assess individuals, taking into account their physical, mental and social states, alongside the impact of their environment.
• Be responsible for the co-production of care plans and risk assessments that are person-centred.
• Prepare and maintain patient records
• Ensure the correct administration and monitoring of medication
• Comply with your professional code of conduct at all times
• Able to build and maintain professional relationships with individuals
• Keep calm under pressure and when dealing with challenging or confrontational behaviour
• Good organisation and problem-solving skills
• Manage and communicate sensitive information effectively
• Able to work autonomously and as part of a team

Meditemp requires you to have:

• A minimum of 6 months recent experience as a Registered General Nurse
• A minimum of 6 months recent experience in a mental health setting
• NMC registration
• Occupational Health in line with the dept. of health
• Eligibility to work within the UK
