About Us:

Sit-a-Pet is the Washington Metro area’s oldest established pet sitting service. We’ve been taking care of cats, birds, fish, bunnies, and more since 1980. Most of our sitters find the work so rewarding that they stay with us for years. Weekends and holidays are our busiest times, and the ability to work a few hours over Thanksgiving and Christmas is a must.

The Position:

We’re looking for animal lovers (cat people, especially) to provide in-home pet care for our clients while they are out of town. We specialize in vacation pet sitting, primarily for cats. We hire people who live in or near the neighborhoods that we serve. Visits are made once or twice daily, depending on the needs of the client. Reliable transportation is required. Weekends and holidays are our busiest times, and the ability to work a few hours over Thanksgiving and Christmas is a must.

Qualifications:

*Experience caring for animals (can include your own or for friends and neighbors or through volunteer work); must love cats

*Available mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

*Have your own reliable transportation and live within a 15 minute commute of our clients

*Careful attention to detail

*Cleanliness

*A smartphone and daily access to email
