We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Pharmacy Technician to join our team!
Responsibilities:
What You’ll Do
The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for preparing medication orders for inpatients and outpatients of the hospital to effectively meet their medication needs. The successful candidate will be able to:
  • Transports Chemotherapy medications to the Cancer Center.
  • Fills unit dose carts, distributes floor stock, packages unit dose items, processes narcotic orders, fills IV solutions and equipment, and assures billing is complete at the end of each day.
  • Receives and stores incoming supplies and keeps areas stocked, clean, and neat.
  • Performs assigned cart exchanges at nursing stations and unit inspections of medication monthly to maintain JCAHO standards.
  • Maintains established procedures concerning security of controlled substances and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.
  • Compounds IV admixtures and medications, using standard formulas and processes.
  • Performs medication reconciliation for patients admitted to the hospital

Qualifications:
What You’ll Bring
Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Idaho Pharmacy Intern or Technician Registration and obtain National Technician within 12 months of hire. Adequate math skills to effectively calculate doses. Must learn and maintain aseptic technique skills in both horizontal and vertical laminar-flow hoods.
